Current Position: Renal Dietitian, Renal Ventures

Lemons current focus is renal nutrition and educating Dietitians about nutrition for individuals, who have autism. She participated in the development of the Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Dietitians working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disorders in 2012. She has held various positions in the Behavioral Health Nutrition Dietary Practice Group over the last 15 years where she now serves as Fact Sheet Editor. She worked in the field of developmental disabilities as a pediatric dietitian for Early Childhood intervention for 8 years then later worked with adults at the Denton State Supported Living Center for 1 year. Lemons received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics and Institutional Administration in 2001 and her Master’s Degree in Nutrition in 2004 from Texas Woman’s University.
